On 4th of July, everyone knows what happens:
step 1. good breakfast
step 2. great lunch
step 3. delicious dinner
step 4. awesome fireworks
There’s something a step further scrambled eggs. It’s called an omelet. There’s something even further than that- quiche. Now the benefit of making this meal was to use up things in the house while they were fresh and good. We had a ton of eggs and bacon from the farm. We had spinach and parsley from the garden, but the only things we bought were the cheese and pie crust. By the way the piecrust added a nice crunch to balance the soft eggs. If I had to put it in to two words, I would say super tasty.
Lunch Time
If you’ve ever had Kraft mac n cheese, it’s alright. But if you’ve ever had Kraft’s spirals mac n cheese, everything’s good again. I’m going to be quick about telling you how it tasted. Okay, GO! The spiral-shaped noodle surprisingly soaks up the creamy sauce, so there’s a better bite. It’s time for the next step.
step 3. MCDONALD’S
If you actually believed me, you’re out of your mind! So here’s the real truth. We had bacon cheeseburgers with lettuce and tomato that were awesome. Speaking of awesome, the fireworks were awesome! We could see them from my house. Then came the finale and I went to bed.
I rate this day (5 / 5)
Sounds like an awesome day to me!! 🙂
It was an awesome day!!!=D
The whole day sounds delightful! I love quiche for the same reason you do Ethan. The crunch goes so nicely with the eggs and cheese.
It was so good I had the left overs for breakfast the next two days 🙂
Now I’m hungry for July 4th food. What about smores’?
we didn’t feel like getting bitten up by the mosquitoes outside we already had gotten a few from watching fireworks but cherry pie worked.
