The reason I haven’t been blogging lately is because I just got back from vacation and just started school .
But lets go back to my vacation first. I started out in Washington D.C. but then I went to Virginia beach and that’s where the Pocahontas Pancake House is. I would say it was the best breakfast we had all of vacation. The night before we decided we would try the pancakes there so we went to sleep. The morning came and we were all hungry so we got dressed and ready to head out. It was only a few blocks down from our hotel so we got to the pancake house and looked over what they had. What popped out to me was a picture of apples piled on top of a pancake.
My mouth was watering when the food came out I just wanted to dig in but of course like all pancakes it’s easier to eat them cut so when it was all cut I attacked it. It was so good there was no need to put syrup on.
The apples were soft but not mushy.
The sauce was sweet but not too sweet and with the apples it gave you that little bit of soft crunch.
so in all I would rate this meal

My breakfast was really good too… French Toast stuffed with ricotta and topped with strawberries. Mm mm. Makes me hungry just thinking about them!

How is that any different than usual? You are ALWAYS hungry. . Good thing you are learning to cook a few things.
I had the pecan pancakes. They were delicious but I should have gotten the short stack. Too much!
I liked the apple pancakes better than pecan ones.
This is the time of year for pumpkin pancakes. Had some yesterday at CrossRoads restaurant north of Reading. I’m ready to go back. Just no apple crunch with those!
